From March 1st – 3rd, 2012, Straumann made a splash at the 27th Annual Academy of Osseointegration Meeting in Phoenix, AZ.  The theme “Technology in Practice“ aligned perfectly with the successful February launch of the Straumann® CARES® System 7.0 software at LMT Lab Day Chicago.  The digital exhibit area was a constant buzz of clinicians and their teams who were eager to learn more about Straumann’s comprehensive digital solutions.  The overwhelming interest was exciting and we are thrilled to be on the forefront of this revolution.

The show kicked off with an impressive attendance at our Corporate Forums on March 1st.  From Straumann’s long-term scientific data to optimizing the digital workflow, we provided attendees an opportunity to learn about the latest scientific evidence, innovative technologies and how the features, benefits and advantages of our comprehensive product portfolio offers predictabilty, flexibility and total solutions from start to finish.  Dr. Dean Morton who presented “Optimize Your Treatment Outcome through Innovation and Restorative Flexibility“ said it best.  “Straumann isn’t only my implant partner.  Straumann is my dental partner.  Our thanks to Dr. Morton, Dr. Stephen Chen, Dr. Frank Higginbottom and Nelson Rego, CDT for sharing with others their great case work and the successful results achieved through their highly skilled techniques and their confidence in Straumann products.

A highlight of the 27th Annual AO Meeting was the North American launch of the Straumann® Narrow Neck CrossFit® – The Confident Soft Tissue Solution for Treating Limited Space.  Combining the Roxolid® material, the SLActive® surface technology with the CrossFit® connection and New Transfer Piece, we now offer a complete Soft Tissue Level Implant line that offers a wide range of treatment options, confidence when placing small diameter implants and simplicity in daily use.

Another highlight was Dr. Lisa Heitz-Mayfield’s presentation of study results showing that implant design influences crestal bone modeling following implant placement and that the Straumann® Bone Level Implant  was among those that preserved significantly more crestal bone in mini-pigs.

Meeting attendees enjoyed their visit at the Straumann booth by exploring our treatment solutions – surgical, regenerative, restorative and digital as well as our education opportunities – through exclusive access of our Passport.  When attendees reached their desitnation after completing the journey, a donation was made to the National Foundation of Ectodermal Dysplasias in their names.  We are very proud of our work with NFED and we continually strive to support their mission.

A great many milestones were celebrated and expectations exceeded at this year’s meeting.  Straumann – Committed To Simply Doing More For Dental ProfessionalsSM.
