While small diameter implants are on every clinician's wish list, no one wants complications and implant failures. Not all small diameter implants are the same. Straumann's unique Roxolid® small diameter implant expands patient care, maximizes treatment outcomes and is a key component of sustained quality practice growth. Dr. Paul Fugazzotto will share the research behind the Roxolid small diameter implant, and how this implant positively impacts both his therapy and his practice. Experience the next evolutionary step in implant therapy.
Contemporary implant therapy aims to provide highly esthetic and predictable treatment outcomes, while decreasing treatment duration and complexity. The clinician must therefore become cognizant of circumstances with a predisposition for sub-optimal esthetic outcomes, and treatment plan accordingly. An immediate implant placement and provisionalization protocol offers the best potential for predictable esthetic outcomes when utilized in intact sites. This approach however, is not without risks and precautions must be taken to mitigate the potential for undesired sequelae. This presentation will feature a comprehensive description of the treatment rationale and technique considerations, including a discussion on the management of high risk sites and complications.
Patients have placed an emphasis on immediate results and often request full-arch solutions with shortened treatment times and fewer appointments. While the process is complex, with meticulous planning, interdisciplinary coordination and precise execution, these procedures have demonstrated high implant and prosthesis survival rates. This session will demonstrate how these cases can be gratifying “home runs” for patients and their providers in terms of patient satisfaction and treatment efficiency, using either traditional or digital treatment workflows.
The translation from digital technologies into the clinical field opens unaccounted number of treatment possibilities at the surgical and the prosthodontics level. This program will focus on the application of digital technologies including Cone Beam CT, intraoral scanning, guides surgery treatment planning, and CADCAM scanners in implant dentistry, and evaluate implant-prosthetic protocols in the Straumann fully digital workflow.
According to epidemiological studies, one or both of the maxillary lateral incisors are congenitally missing in approximately 2%1 of the population; that is approximately 6 million people in the United States.* The Straumann Bone Level Tapered 2.9mm implant is a solution for compromised situations such as reduced interdental spaces. There is increasing need to treat patients without GBR and to simplify the procedures.*
